Amber Sabri is a creative consultant, and the founder & CEO of Azhar PR, a New York-based PR & marketing agency that amplifies female founders + minority-owned brands in the online space. She spent the beginning of her career working with well-known brands that operated in a state of neutrality when it came to presenting themselves in the media.
Being a South Asian female, she knew first-hand what it is like to feel and be underrepresented in the world. As she grew as a publicist, she learned the power she had in her knowledge & capabilities and realized that she didn’t have to represent the brands that didn’t care about who she was as a WOC.
In October 2020 she quit her job to freelance and in October 2021 launched Azhar PR, where her desire to support those who feel underrepresented became her top priority. Since taking the leap of faith, Amber has grown her business into a fully-functioning agency with a team of three and has grown her revenue by 750%. Throughout all of her career endeavors, in industries that have been dominated by the majority, Amber’s mission is to help empower the minority + even the playing field.
